This session follows on from our member meeting on DfE’s transgender guidance consultation in which we were joined by Stone King. The aim of this meeting is not to focus solely on trans issues, but to look at how academies and trusts can become more inclusive especially around the LGBTQ+ agenda.
We will be joined by Raminder Aujla from the White Rose Academies Trust who will talk about a strategic approach to LGBTQ+ that includes a potential response to the trans consultation. Evie Cryer from Oasis Community Learning will then speak to us around the operational aspects of becoming a school that is inclusive of all gender expressions both for staff and pupils.
