About Sharon Monteith
Sharon is an Accounting and Financial Reporting Director in RSM’s Accounting and Business Advisory department. Sharon has over 20 years of experience working in the not-for-profit sector with a large proportion of her client base being within the education sector.
Sharon helps multi academy trusts with a multitude of accounting requirements including statutory financial reporting, advising on the accounting implications of non-routine transactions, management information, the implementation of new accounting and control systems, and assistance for finance departments looking to upskill their team.
Over the past 10 years Sharon has been a governor of a maintained school that went through the process of academisation and a Trustee on the Board of a growing multi academy trust. During her time at the Trust, Sharon was Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee and Vice Chair of the Board.
