Craig has acquired a wide range of practical experience and skills that organisations have benefited from over the last 20 years as a governance and risk specialist across all sectors.
Prior to this, he spent years as an Internal Audit professional gaining valuable experience reviewing, challenging and reporting on control environments to senior management teams and audit committees.
Now as an Associate Director with RSM, Craig continues to support clients create more effective working practices leading to improvements in risk processes and further embedding risk and governance throughout the organisation.
Craig is also heavily involved with implementing and supporting clients on RSM Insight4GRC software suite (www.insight4grc.com) including 4risk (web based risk management and assurance system) that has been used widely across the education sector, including many Multi-Academy Trusts to simplify their risk management structure and help develop Board Assurance Frameworks, using the 3 lines of assurance and producing management reports at the touch of a button.
Through these skills and experience, Craig has developed solutions to meet the strategic and business needs of Trusts and has developed interpersonal skills enabling him to communicate issues at all levels of a business, including Chief Executives, Non-Executive Directors, Directors and Senior Management.
His strengths include strong influencing skills, supporting and motivating people towards achieving their objectives and using a consistent and logical approach to get to the root cause of complex problems and then formulate and implement common sense solutions.
