Pearson is the world’s leading learning company, with over 20,000 employees in nearly 200 countries working to help everyone achieve their potential through learning.
We do this by providing high-quality content and learning experiences, as well as assessments and qualifications that help people build their skills and grow with the world around them.
We’re proud to work alongside UK schools, families and the education community to support every learning journey from the ages of 4 to 19. From our well-loved curriculum programmes and tutoring and wellbeing services through to revision and our GCSE, International GCSE, BTEC and A level qualifications, there’s plenty to help students progress in the ways that work best for them. Together with real-time insights from our online services as well as our Professional Development Academy, we aim to help teachers shape the best teaching and learning experiences.
Learning is the most powerful force for change in the world. That’s why we’re focusing on supporting diversity and inclusion, positive mental health and wellbeing, and sustainability in education. Driven by research, collaboration and your feedback, we’re harnessing new innovations and unlocking opportunities to make learning more impactful, inclusive and accessible now and in future.
At Pearson, we’re passionate about supporting a culture of positive wellbeing and mental health in education by working together with teachers and senior leaders to help build healthy and happy schools.
Together we can drive positive change, encourage conversation, and create an environment that fosters wellbeing for pupils as well as staff.
The Wellbeing Zone is packed with free tools and guidance for teachers, parents and young people.
Guided by your feedback and the support of Clinical Psychologists and trained experts, we’ve created range of guides and resources on mindfulness, managing stress, anxiety, building resilience, as well as insights from teachers on practices to support positive wellbeing in schools.
We also have dedicated support to help secondary students manage revision and navigate exams with as little stress as possible.
To help break down barriers to learning and give all pupils a chance to progress, we’ve partnered with Mable Therapy – Europe’s biggest provider of online speech and language therapy and counselling, delivered to children in schools through a network of specialists.

The Weaving Well-Being programme supports a whole-school approach by providing a spiral curriculum of wellbeing which can be delivered within primary schools.
Focused on improving primary school children’s wellbeing – social, emotional, physical, and psychological – the programme aligns with the frameworks of UK personal and health education curricula.
The eight key concepts which are at the core of Weaving Well-Being are: The Growth Mindset, Language of Well-Being, Self-Efficacy, Character Strengths, Cognitive Reframing, Emotional Competence, Social Competence and Making a Difference. Nurturing children’s wellbeing in these areas can lead to increased academic performance, positive behaviour and better life outcomes.
It’s also complemented by an online Weaving Well-Being self-study course on our Professional Development Academy. Providing an understanding of the science of Positive Psychology, the programme offers practical and evidence-based strategies for supporting the well-being of children and teachers.
We have a range of courses available on our Professional Development Academy to support mental health and wellbeing in education, including:
