Marie leads the national roll-out of the Careers Impact System, a model for continuous improvement and quality assurance in careers education. This system supports schools, special schools, and colleges in developing strong careers leadership as a key driver of whole-school and college improvement.
Prior to this role, Marie was part of the senior leadership team at an 11–18 school in the north east of England, where she oversaw pastoral systems, attendance, safeguarding, and careers leadership. A trained careers leader, Marie played a key role in the Gatsby Benchmark pilot. Under her leadership, her school became one of the first in the country to meet all eight Gatsby Benchmarks for good careers guidance. Marie brings a wealth of experience in education leadership and a strong commitment to improving outcomes for young people through high-quality careers provision.
