The interim report of the Curriculum and Assessment Review has been published today.
Confederation of School Trust Chief Executive Leora Cruddas CBE said: "This is a sensible and authoritative interim report which clearly lays out some of the challenges we face, notably, the gap between disadvantaged children and their peers, the challenge with some specific subjects, the need to respond to social and technological change, and post-16 technical and vocational qualifications.
"The proposed next steps which respond to this analysis are practical and give important consideration to the impact of curriculum change on workload, while paying attention to what needs to change.”
