"Today is GCSE and L2 VTQ results day and we congratulate all young people receiving results.
"As we said last week when A level results were released, it is important to recognise the challenges this cohort of students has faced in arriving at this point, and the grading context.
"But it is also important to remember that today is the day to celebrate these amazing young people.
"The results children are celebrating today are a product not only of their secondary school experience, but also the efforts of their teachers in primary schools and a range of other people who will have helped students build to this point. We congratulate and thank teachers and other trust staff for their work in helping students to achieve these results."
