As GCSE and vocational results are awarded, Steve Rollett, Deputy Chief Executive of CST, said:
"The past few years have been tough for all children and young people, particularly those heading into exam years. Today, we are focused solely on celebrating them for their fantastic achievements and resilience.
"As in any exam year, there will be some who are disappointed with their results. I know school and Trust leaders will be supporting their students and helping them progress to the next stages of their lives, whether that be A levels, T levels, apprenticeships or otherwise.
"They are a remarkable cohort of young people and they, and their teachers, can be incredibly proud of their hard work."
