Statement following the death of Dave Baker, Chief Executive, Olympus Academy Trust
CST Chief Executive Leora Cruddas CBE said: "It is with huge sorrow and sadness that we learned of the death of Dave Baker, chief executive of Olympus Academy Trust. Dave was a truly wonderful leader. He gave so much to so many people and his loss will be felt deeply across the education sector.
"Dave was the force behind the South West Trust Leaders Network. He showed unwavering commitment to the power of partnership and collaboration as principles for driving greater good in the system.
He was a wonderful, committed, gentle person and touched the lives of so many leaders, teachers, children and communities in the South West.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, loved ones and colleagues who worked closely with him."
