Senior Coroner for Berkshire Heidi Connor has today given her verdict in the inquest into the death of Ruth Perry.
Confederation of School Trusts Chief Executive Leora Cruddas CBE said:
"We cannot imagine how painful this has been for Ruth Perry’s family and her friends and colleagues at Caversham Primary School. Our deepest condolences to all those who are mourning her loss.
"The findings of the inquest are a very important and serious matter. It is clear that there are significant implications for both Ofsted and regulation. We should treat the findings with the utmost gravity. It is therefore right that we take a little time to properly understand the full implications of the coroner’s verdict and her report."
