Events terms and conditions

1. Attendance 

These terms and conditions apply to attendance at the CST Regional Networking Events, which are designed to connect school trust CEOs, chairs and other senior civic leaders within each of England’s nine regions. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. 

2. Booking and payment 

Attendance at each event is charged at £40 + VAT per person. A place is confirmed once a booking has been accepted and the fee has been paid. 

3. Cancellation 

Bookings are non-refundable. Unfortunately, as CST must make commitments to the venues, the attendee is liable for the full fee once the place has been confirmed, even if they subsequently become unable to attend. If an attendee is unable to attend, they should immediately notify the organisers by email to conference@cstuk.org.uk and request that their place be released.  

4. Transfer of places

In some circumstances it may be appropriate for the place to be transferred to another senior leader within the trust at no cost and at CST’s discretion. Due to the nature of these events, transfer of places must be approved by the organisers. 

5.Event changes or cancellation by the organisers 

CST reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the date, venue, format or programme of a Regional Networking Event. If we cancel an event and are unable to offer an alternative, attendees will automatically receive a full refund of the attendance fee. 

6. Eligibility

For the events to be successful as opportunities for CEOs, other civic leaders and chairs of trustees to connect, the organisers reserve the right to determine eligibility for attendance and to decline a booking request where appropriate. 

7. Safe and respectful conduct 

CST expects all participants to contribute to a safe, inclusive and respectful environment. Attendees must treat each other with courtesy, professionalism and respect and must not engage in behaviour that is harassing, discriminatory, abusive, intimidating, disruptive or otherwise inconsistent with CST's values. CST reserves the right to remove any attendee whose conduct is considered unacceptable and, where appropriate, refuse future event attendance. Removal from an event will not normally result in a refund. 

8. Event output 

CST events are designed to be collaborative, connective spaces and conversations are held on a confidential basis. CST reserves the right to draw upon some of the themes arising from these conversations in our work to advocate for and support the trust sector. CST undertakes not to identify any individual trust or person without seeking their express consent in any content that it produces. 

9. Acceptance of terms 

By accepting a place at a Regional Networking Event, the attendee confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. 

10. VAT 

All fees stated are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise specified. VAT will be charged at the applicable rate. 

11. Amendments 

The organisers reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The terms applicable to an attendee will be those in force at the time their place is confirmed.
