Leadership at Apple
Tailored strategy events for trust leaders
Trust leaders rarely get the chance to learn from high-performing organisations beyond the education sector, yet these opportunities can spark fresh thinking and strengthen strategic leadership. For the third year running CST is collaborating with the Apple Education team to offer CST members a unique chance to do just that and explore how technology can support their organisation’s strategic ambitions and current challenges.
Throughout 2026 and 2027, Apple will host three full-day events at its UK headquarters in Battersea. Each stand-alone session will bring together a group of leaders from 15 trusts and educational organisations for curated discussions, seminar-style presentations and a behind-the-scenes tour of Apple HQ.
These will take place on 19 November 2026, 25 February 2027, and a date in June 2027 to be confirmed
Who should attend
You are invited to nominate two colleagues to attend one of the three dates, typically the chief executive and a senior colleague (we’d suggest the director of education, or senior teaching and learning manager).
What to expect
The day will combine learning, discussion, reflection and networking, giving you an insight into the thinking and practices of an organisation outside education. In the week prior to their visit, you will be invited to join a short online meeting to share their questions, interests and areas they would like to explore, helping to shape the format and content of the day.
The day will include:
- Seminar style sessions and curated discussions focused on leadership, vision, values, and systemic challenges.
- Insight into how technology can enable strategy and transformation, and what this means in an educational context.
- Opportunities for deep reflection and practical application to your trust’s unique context.
- A guided tour of Apple HQ, offering a behind the scenes look at one of the world’s most innovative organisations.
The day is free to attend. You are responsible for any travel costs.
Feedback from previous attendees
- "This is the best leadership training I have experienced in a long time - relevant, thought provoking and enjoyable"
- "Amazing opportunity… I found it all really inspiring"
How to apply
Please email membership@cstuk.org.uk with the names of two proposed attendees, your preferred date, and a short note of areas or challenges you’d be keen to explore.
Places are limited so we may not be able to accommodate all applicants, particularly if colleagues from your trust have previously attended our past Apple events.
Leadership at Apple days
Apple in California
CST and Apple are currently exploring future visits for CST members to Apple Park, Apple’s global headquarters in Cupertino, with a visit potentially taking place in spring 2027.
I found the experience to be a thoroughly engaging and insightful day… being able to explore the structures and processes in place, and then reflect on how these compare and contrast with our practices in school was both thought-provoking and inspiring
