In this seminar, Ed Dorrell, Director at Public First, discussed the findings from a report Towards a new generation of Community Schools – listening to parents of the Red Wall. This report outlines the findings of Public First’s research with parents of primary aged children.
This was followed by a short exploration of CST’s latest Bridge to the Future paper co-published with The Reach Foundation, Community Anchoring – School Trusts as Anchor Institutions. Ed Vainker and James Townsend explored briefly the concept of community anchoring and the potential of trusts as anchor institutions to open up longer timeframes and broaden our thinking about how we best address our collective mission to advance education.
