CST and Lyfta help students explore the world

Schools across England will be helped to increase their pupils’ awareness of the world as part of a new partnership between the sector body for school trusts and an immersive online learning platform.

Lyfta is partnering with the Confederation of School Trusts to increase awareness of its innovative digital learning resources where students and teachers can explore real human stories through 360° spaces and soundscapes, high-quality documentary films, and rich media articles.

The partnership is part of the Confederation's Platinum Partner scheme, which brings together leading companies within the industry and CST’s members, which together are responsible for the education of more than three million young people.

Lyfta’s award-winning platform enables teachers to easily build or curate powerful, interactive and curriculum-aligned lessons that bring learning to life, and is supported by a powerful professional development offer to help schools get the most out of the platform.

The platform offers more than 300 integrated lesson and assembly plans that explore a huge range of themes from wellbeing, compassion and human diversity, to science, gender equality and differing world views. All resources and lessons are linked to, and searchable by, the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, as well as by core theme and key stage.

CST chief executive Leora Cruddas CBE said: "One of the most important things we do as educators is help students explore the world around them. Lyfta’s approach gives teachers the tools and the content to do this in new ways, helping students better understand people and cultures from right around the globe.”

Lyfta chief executive Serdar Ferit said: "Lyfta is used in thousands of classrooms in schools and trusts across the UK. Our mission is to have an immersive human story from every country in the world on our platform to nurture a generation of compassionate, connected and responsible global citizens.

"Our partnership with CST will help us share the benefits of Lyfta with more than two-thirds of academy trusts in England, with a view to supporting millions of pupils to develop cultural capital and global awareness.”
