Hachette Learning (formerly Hodder Education) brings together the 60 years of experience in publishing educator-focused professional development books from John Catt Educational and the 150 years of curriculum and assessment publishing from Hodder Education.
Hachette Learning Professional Development is now joining with the Confederation of School Trusts to bring its extensive catalogue to school trust leaders across the country.
The new partnership is part of the Confederation's Platinum Partner scheme, which brings together leading education-focused organisations and CST’s members, together responsible for the education of more than 3.5 million young people.
Alongside the new partnership, Hachette Learning has this month published CST’s first book, New Domains of Educational Leadership. The book examines key areas in education today: organisational leadership, civic leadership and system leadership.
CST Chief Executive and lead author Leora Cruddas CBE said: "Education is all about sharing ideas and information, building on what we know to keep learning and improving. It makes perfect sense, then, for us to partner with Hachette Learning, which has such a rich pedigree in promoting the sharing of ideas about education.”
Hachette Learning CEO, Seshni Jacobs said: "We are delighted both to be publishing CST’s first book, and to be embarking on this wider Platinum Partnership to help CST members explore some of the best thinking and practice in education through Hachette Learning Professional Development.”
