This document is for chief executives, those aspiring to the role, and trust boards. It aims to underpin key aspects of leadership development and governance by offering a framework to inform executive performance review, executive development, organisation design, and recruitment.
The aim of this work is to produce a set of core responsibilities for School Trust chief executive officers.
As the sector body for School Trusts, CST has carried out this work in consultation with serving chief executives and informed by existing frameworks for related roles, to help guide understanding of this relatively new leadership position within the education sector.
