Unlocking Potential Through the RSC’s Shakespeare Curriculum

Shakespeare is the only named writer on the curriculum, but some young people find their experiences of his work in school off-putting or inaccessible. The Royal Shakespeare Company works with 500,000 young people and 2,000 teachers each year, using its award-winning learning approaches based on the way actors and directors work in rehearsals.

Join our webinar and discover how the RSC and its new Shakespeare Curriculum are revolutionising the way Shakespeare is taught and learnt about in schools. Gain insight into the impact and evidence base and see how the platform provides a clear, practical framework for embedding high-quality creative and oracy-based learning across the curriculum, in line with the Curriculum and Assessment Review. The resources are free to access for UK state funded secondary and SEND schools.

The webinar will include Geoff Barton, RSC Board Member, Jacqui O’Hanlon, RSC Deputy Exec Director and Director of Creative Learning and Fiona Ingram, RSC Head of Learning.

The webinar is aimed at members of our School improvement professional community. Community members can use the Book now link to access details of the webinar.
