This short course, designed for trustees, will look at the key risks and challenges for school trusts around data protection and management. The two-hour seminar, led by Browne Jacobson partner Dai Durbridge, will explore with delegates what it means for trustees to hold accountability for data protection, and how they can be assured that trust processes and policies around data handling are fit for purpose and compliant.
We will look at the legal frameworks of GDPR and the Data Protection Act and the role of the data protection officer. The course will also discuss at high level the role of the Information Commissioners Office, subject access requests and data breaches.
