Governance transitions: onboarding schools explained

This new two-hour explained seminar will focus on governance transitions when schools (or a trust) join the trust. It will support you to understand the different reasons why schools may join you and to explore the mechanisms and practical considerations in the process.  If you are thinking about growth for your trust, this seminar will support you to plan for a smooth and successful onboarding process when schools join.

With presenters who bring extensive first-hand experience, the seminar will look at the different stages of the onboarding journey, offering practical suggestions for navigating effective governance transitions. It will examine approaches to support the development of an onboarding process that is fit for purpose, including robust communications and information flow. It will provide insight into strong sector practice and case studies illustrating a variety of approaches. It will explore possible challenges and pitfalls and sensible mitigations to avoid or address them. The seminar will also touch on options for effective local governance arrangements.
