About my delegate place

What is included in the cost of my delegate place?

Each full delegate place includes attendance on the day, refreshments and a buffet lunch, complimentary wi-fi, resources shared at the conference, and opportunities to join and engage with your professional community and supporters.

Tickets do not include any overnight accommodation, travel, or parking arrangements.

How do I register on the day?

Detailed joining instructions will be sent out approximately four weeks before the event, with a reminder one week before.  Look out for these emails, including in your spam or junk email folders, and please contact us at conference@cstuk.org.uk if you do not receive any information.

Will presentations and additional information from the conference be available?

Wherever possible resources will be uploaded to a secure site for delegates to access after the event for a limited time. In some cases this may not be possible for copyright reasons, or where video or other interactive elements mean sharing is not practicable.

Will delegates and speakers be photographed or filmed?

Filming and photography may take place during the event. As busy events, we are not able to request individual consent for all photography but if you do not wish to be included please let us know. Please read our photography policy for full details.

Accommodation and checking-in

The conference is a one-day event and does not include overnight accommodation.

Where is the nearest car parking?

The nearest car park to the venue is Millennium Point Multi Storey, located off Howe Street, B4 7AP. The car park is open seven days a week from 6am to midnight, with the option to leave cars overnight. See car park website for up-to-date charges.

Alternatively, parking can also be found at Aston University. The car park (Number 5) is located off Holt Street, B7 4BH, and is open seven days a week from 6am to 10pm with gates locked overnight. See car park website for up-to-date charges.

Central Birmingham is covered by a Clean Air Zone which requires drivers of certain more polluting vehicles to pay a fee. You can find details of this on the Brum Breathes website.

Dietary requirements / additional needs

How can I let you know about my dietary or access requirements?

We want our events to be as accessible as possible, and we will do our best to accommodate any dietary or access requirements delegates may have. Details of these will be collected through the booking process, or please contact us at conference@cstuk.org.uk if you would like to discuss your specific requirements.

Dress code

Is there a dress code?

Our professional community events are relatively informal, but are still professional events. We recommend a dress code of smart casual or business clothes.

Cancellation Policy

What is your cancellation policy?

While we make every effort to publish accurate information, the event programme, speakers, and related arrangements are provisional and subject to change at short notice.

By booking a place at the conference, the Terms and Conditions have been accepted.

If you are no longer able to attend the event, we are happy to accept a substitute delegate from the same organisation. Please provide as much notice as possible for any name changes and contact us at conference@cstuk.org.uk - where there are any resulting dietary or other additional requirements, please let us know and we will do our best to meet these in the time available.

If neither you nor a colleague are unable to attend, we may be able to offer a full or partial refund. This depends on the amount of notice you can give, and reflects our fixed costs and potential to re-sell your place:

  • More than 12 weeks’ notice – full refund
  • Six weeks to 12 weeks’ notice – 50% refund
  • Fewer than six weeks’ notice – no refund

We may occasionally need to cancel or reschedule events due to circumstances outside of our control. If this is necessary, we will contact you to explain the reasons for the change and the options for your booking.
