Commenting on the School Resource Management Advisory (SRMA) pilot evaluation report, Leora Cruddas, Chief Executive of the Confederation of School Trusts (CST) said:
“The Confederation of School Trusts welcomes this report. We are pleased that so many trusts leaders who responded to the survey found the experience positive and have confidence that the SRMA understood their context and any issues or challenges that they were managing. It is gratifying to see that trusts have so far told the DfE they have already realised £4.9m of opportunities.
This report is an evaluation of the pilot, during which the first 72 trust visits were made. A full roll out of the programme has now been commissioned.
It is good to that in the spirit of continuous improvement, the DfE has identified improvements to the programme. CST will be working with the DfE and the Institute of School Business Leadership (ISBL) to identify further improvements based on feedback from trusts that have had SRMA visits following the pilot programme.”
