CST’s Explained Seminars are information-rich webinars for trustees. They support you in your critical role by providing some of the sector and organisational knowledge that you need for governing a school trust.
Whilst trustees do not have to be experts in all aspects of running a school trust, a core understanding of how trusts operate is essential to good governance. It informs your leadership of your trust’s growth and development and for gaining assurance on key areas of your trust’s activity.
CST Explained seminars help trustees to develop this understanding, with emphasis on the strategic considerations around each topic, and practical guidance on how and where trustees need to engage to support and oversee the work of their executive team.
Each topic is delivered by subject experts across one or two, two-hour seminars, the length of which varies according to the topic. These sessions are underpinned by CST’s authoritative guidance on school trust governance and our thinking about what makes a strong trust.
By taking part, you will:
The Explained seminars are standalone sessions. Many are complementary to CST’s Essential Trustee and Chairs Development Programmes and are open to all current trustees and aspiring trustees.
