Who we are
Edwin People provide a range of strategic leadership and HR services to the education sector. We build long-term, trusted relationships with senior leaders in Schools and Multi-Academy Trusts, providing support across a range of issues, adding capacity and acting as a sounding board to your internal teams.
Our team have all worked in the education sector for many years, and as a result combine our knowledge of Trust leadership, HR, finance, governance and operations so that we add value as your external advisers.
What we do
With a focus on recruitment, retention and reducing workload, we partner with education sector leaders to ensure that we provide advice and support relative to your context, that adds value and reduces the workload on senior leaders. Typical work includes MAT growth and merger projects, strategic HR projects such as executive pay, pay harmonisation and external reviews, and HR/Leadership retainer services where we provide proactive advice and support on a range of issues, policy development, and strategic initiatives as well as acting as a sounding board to your internal team, adding capacity and delivering value for money.
Our areas of specialism include:
- People strategy within an education context – ability to support both the smallest SAT through to a Regional or National MAT.
- MAT growth including mergers, academy conversion, Free Schools, provision expansion, provision closure etc.
- Staffing restructures including links to financial planning and Integrated Curriculum Financial Planning (ICFP)
- External reviews e.g. Governance, Staff Wellbeing, Central Services, Due diligence etc
- Executive pay, recruitment and retention
- Support in tackling underperformance
- Complex investigations including grievances and disciplinary
- Pay harmonisation projects
